Yes. Appointments are required, and the earliest availability is next day. We do not accept walk-ins or same day appointments. Once your appointment begins, the entire visit is usually completed in less than 45 minutes.

Most drivers receive a medical card that is valid for up to 24 months. If the examiner needs to monitor a condition such as blood pressure, diabetes, or sleep apnea, the card may be issued for a shorter period like 12 months, 6 months, or 3 months.

Most exams take 20 to 30 minutes. Your entire visit including paperwork and receiving your medical card is usually finished in less than 45 minutes.

Yes, it is possible if something does not meet the FMCSA medical standards. Most issues relate to high blood pressure, untreated conditions, or missing medical paperwork. The examiner will explain what needs to be corrected and how to move forward if any part of the exam cannot be cleared.

You can still complete the exam, but missing information may delay the certification. Bring any records you have, including medications, CPAP data, blood pressure logs, A1C results, surgery notes, or specialist clearances. If something is missing, you might receive a temporary certification or be asked to return with full documentation.

No. Drivers are responsible for submitting their Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card) to PennDOT. We will give you a printed card and a copy for your records. If you misplace it, we keep a digital copy on file and can provide a replacement.
